Light Cube / Styrofoam & Felt / 6″ cubed
As a project for Digital Design Concepts, I was tasked with creating an “object that wants to be touched.” I wanted to produce something tactile, abstract and comforting. I hand carved a styrofoam cube to accommodate an LED light in the center, and carved channels on the exterior to insert felt tips with hot glue. The result is a very soft yet geometric handheld nightlight.
