Compass / Weekly Newspaper Insert
Compass entertainment magazine was a weekly insert into the St. Augustine Record newspaper. Tasked with redesigning the cover, my goal was to use negative space to set the insert apart from an otherwise busy and text heavy newspaper.
I won first place in the Morris Journalism Excellence Awards for publication design, largely due to my use of restraint and design simplicity.
